Global climate change is a complicated natural phenomenon which is the final result of many factors, but mainly believed to be related to the green house effect. Apart from the impact on health, it is related also with the loss of biodiversity, immigration of people, evacuation of countries, poverty and socio-economic inequalities. The increased incidence of cardiovascular, respiratory, mental and infectious diseases is related to climate change. Diseases of the past such as malaria are reoccurring because of climate change’s existence. Malnutrition is also an emerging issue. The impact on health of climate changes and extreme weather events has become a perplex issue with many challenges. Vulnerable groups, elderly and children, are the most sensitive parts of population suffering from climate change and its results. Environmental health education and capacity building in decision making may be a way leading to sustainable solutions through awareness raising of the public, the scientists, the non-expert advisors and the decision makers to eliminate the carbon footprint.
