The 63rd Congress of the European Organisation for Caries Research will take place in ATHENS, Greece from 6-9 July 2016.
We are thrilled to welcome you to the annual ORCA Conference. Athens is a metropolitan city that combines both the old and the modern, the spirit of future with the treasures of the past. It is the capital and largest city of Greece. It dominates the Attica region and is one of the world’s oldest cities, with its recorded history spanning around 3,400 years.
The venue of the ORCA Conference will be Megaron Athens International Conference Centre. It is one of the finest and most technologically advanced conference venues in Europe. Situated in the city centre yet surrounded by its own extensive landscaped gardens.
The Organising Committee has carefully planned an exciting scientific and social programme that will take full advantage of the fantastic, historic city and its surroundings.
Athens is the city with the most glorious history in the world, a city worshipped by gods and people, a magical city. The enchanting capital of Greece has always been a birthplace for civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and most of the wise men of ancient times. The most important civilization of ancient world flourished in Athens and relives through some of the world’s most formidable edifices. This is clearly reflected in the wide offer of tourist attractions, art and culture in Athens.
In Athens you will also find the southern suburbs, located on the coast of the Saronic Gulf. They offer many opportunities to take a walk along the seaside, while you will also find many beautiful organized and free beaches.
Athens is easy to get to. There is a major international airport in Athens with connections to the whole of Europe and to the other continents.
We look forward to seeing you in Athens and share your ideas.
