FIRST YEAR STUDENTS AT THE MEDICAL SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OF NICOSIA, VISITED MEDICOVER GENETICS’ STATE-OF-THE-ART LABORATORIES

First year students at the Medical School, University of Nicosia had the opportunity to visit Medicover Genetics’ state-of-the-art molecular laboratories in Nicosia.The visit took place on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, where the students attended a scientific lecture by the CEO of the Company in Cyprus, Prof. PhilipposPatsalis, entitled “Genetic Testing in the Clinical Practice”. The students’ visit was in the context of the courses “Molecular basis of cellular function & dysfunction” and “Development, Tissues and Organs”. ThestudentswereaccompaniedbyDr. AnnitaAchilleos, Assistant Professor of the Department of Basic and Clinical Sciences, Medical School, University of Nicosia.
Prof. PhilipposPatsalisstated that “MedicoverGeneticswillalways support students, whoarethefuturescientists and researchersofourcountry”,and added that “investing time and money in new generation of scientists, as well as connecting academic research and innovation with the needs of thecurrent labour market, the economy and society, are fundamental priorities for me as a person and for MedicoverGenetics”.
